DAIR Kiss --- 4x17

I meant to write about this the other day after the episode aired but am just now getting the chance.

These two characters need to get together like now. I mean it before Chuck comes in and ruins everything by claiming that he wants to be with Blair when he hasn't thought of her at all in the past three episodes or so. I mean I love Chuck and Blair together and I probably always will. But like I said before Blair is my favorite character and Chuck has repeatedly broken her heart, and done pretty close to unforgivable things. He hasn't redeemed himself in my eyes yet.



Well anyway back to DAIR, the whole episode was great for them. I mean from her sneaking him into her house, to Dan just lounging on her bed as she discusses field trip strategies for meeting at the exhibit, them both standing each other, vehemently denying that they are friends or that their friendship could actually be more. I love the fact that she trusted him enough to tell him about the hotel thing with Chuck (maybe he knew about it from Gossip Girl blast, don't remember).

The last scene of course is my favorite from the entire episode. I love them. The chemistry between these two is just great. They remind me of Pacey and Joey. I love when they're discussing the kiss that Blair seems like she wants it, she does this little cough when she says she think that idea would work and end this discussion once and for all. Then she pulls him in when he doesn't make the move, I just love that. It's so Blair. Can I just say that Leighton plays her perfectly? She plays her with the right amount of bitchiness and vulnerability that are the right combination and make her my favorite character.

Then the frakkin' kiss is freeze-framed mid-kiss and we have to wait six weeks to see the outcome, but you know what I really don't mind. Like I said before the writer's are handling the evolution of this relationship is just perfection. Can't wait for April. Gonna post clip below.
